Bierkutscher Zitat aus Ludwig Aurbacher: Doktor Faust in Auerbachs Keller "Folgenden Tages besahen sie die Stadt, verwunderten sich über die Kostbarkeiten der Kaufmannschaft, besorgten ihre Geschäfte, und als sie wieder nach ihrem Wirtshause gingen, sahen sie, wie nahe am Markte mehrere Wein- und Bierschröter ein Fass Wein, sieben oder acht Eimer enthaltend, aus einem Weinkeller, der noch heutzutage als "Auerbachs Keller" allbekannt ist, herausbringen wollten. Die vermochten es aber nicht zu heben, wie sehr sie sich auch bemühten - und eine große Menge Volks hatte sich versammelt, um der Sache zuzusehen.
